Not to stir up the pot, but if he continues to play "lights out" in camp... do we consider giving him a shot at playing this season?

It's early, and they may have talked him up to boast his confidence... But what if he really is a difference maker???

I am hoping that our Offensive line is strong enough to really protect our QB

Not to be Debbie Downer, but Taggart did not say that Flowers was playing "lights out" on day one.   That was some headline manipulation from our friend Joey Knight.

"Quinton did well," Taggart said. "He's got something to him; he's got a little savvy, he's got a little football smarts to him. Quinton is one of those guys when you talk to him out in public, he seems real quiet. But I was really impressed on how he took control of the huddle and called the plays in the huddle."

He has to be clearly better than Bench and White. If he's even close, redshirt him and turn him loose next year.

With a stronger O-line...

I do see White performing much better (if not Bench).

let the best QB play...i don't care if its a true freshman.  we need the guy who is going to give this team the best chance to win this season.  We can't worry about what will happen 4 or 5 years from now.  Taggart will have plenty of time to get someone else in.  I've never understood that logic of our fans who worry about redshirts.....

I'm going to predict it now... Flowers will win the Heisman five years in a row including his redshirt year!

There's no way he will know the playbook in time.
