Front 7 depth chart

Getting back to talking football, rather than OCSs or conference realignment or Publix subs. 

 

So we're switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 this year, which means we have to replace Lattimore, plus add one ILB. 

 

Who do you see getting the starts? I think Cliett and Harris are possible starters on the outside, but then who stands up? If we move one of them inside, can we put Hill or Lee on the edge as the rush backer? 

 

I am not someone who has followed a lot of 3-4, so this is all very new to me.

Jimmy bayes as an edge rusher maybe? Three linemen be hill, watson and chandler. Harris cliett and auggie as the other three lbs.

Thats my guess.

Agree Holman will get PT quickly. Should be solid standing inside.

VM Jackson Jr is a wildcard too. If he has been disciplined in OS I think he can be a serious player. People have widely differing opinions about him and I am not sure I have a read on him yet. Smart enough to move inside, big enough and could be a great run stopper. ILB might be his natural slot.

Cliett may be our best player so I'm sure he's set. Harris likely. To me, it sounds like it will be a mix between 34 and 43 so should see a variety of guys in and out. To me it seems like we have depth everywhere in the front 7 except for DE in a 4-3.

I know some think Jackson could be a 43 DE. He's a wild card. Would not be surprised to see him lineup in several different spots throughout the year, standing up and with his hand down
