Here is a link to his highlight reel. He has a pretty quick release and is playing for a state title as we speak. He is friends with White, but might take his job next year. I wasnt impressed with Flowers highlights, but Kean highlights seem promising

Any chance he early enrolls?  If not, it's hard to make a strong impact as a true freshman.

I still don't understand why a lot of these QBs would want to go to a P5 school and sit behind multiple talented QBs for years hoping for a shot when they can go to a school like USF and start for 4 years. Here's hoping Kean sticks and we pick up Lawson.

Development. If you don't have it, sure you might get to play, but you still won't have as good a chance as the guy that gets mentored in a talent-rich environment by proven leadership. It only takes one year of great play...

Looks like he plays in a spread offense and excels...

I didn't see him take 1 snap from under center. Considering what we've seen from the young QBs as far as the playbook is concerned I don't think he'll have a strong enough grasp of the playbook to play right away.

Can you give me 1 good reason why a QB would choose to come to USF? Possible early playing time and that's it. Does this offense look fun to play in when watching film on it? Probably not. Has this offense had success? Nope. Did other QBs have a lot of trouble learning the system? Yup. Are they winning games? Nope.

Now compare it to the rest of your offers. Are there teams that run the same type of offense that you have excelled in in high school? Probably. Do those offenses look fun to play in? Probably.

A lot more reasons to not come to USF in general if you're a QB than reasons to come in my opinion.

Hopefully he doesnt flip on us

Flip to who? Akron, Ball State, Western Kentucky or maybe FIU? The dude isn't going anywhere. If he flips for a MAC or CUSA school, shut the program down. Still hoping for a better QB prospect than Kean and a tranfer/JUCO.

He is like one or 2 games from a state championship. He might get more offers.

"I wish you guys could be in the locker room and be on the practice field because it is so much different from what it has been in the past."

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
