Eveld can run?  I thought he was just attempting to pick up his feet without getting them caught on the grass, of which he is only successful half of the time.

He runs like he has scuba gear on.

Lol he runs like he has these on.

That's sadly an accurate and hilarious description.

I saw the video that Q.Flowers ran and flipped into the endzone for the TD.. Doesn't it seem it's not good to have a QB with a weak judgement?  We need 6'4" and 210 lbs dual threat QB like Carlton Hill with a brain.

Not certain how you arrived at the conclusion he has weak judgment ... any QB that does a flip in a game has weak judgment?

I want athletes who play for USF to have passion.  That's what I see in the flip ... an athlete having fun and enjoying doing well at his craft.  An attitude like that is just what this team needs right now, imo.

are we playing football here or sculpting a masterpiece/working on our pottery wheel?

I guess you think football is a game where everyone just runs around and throws the ball for people to catch and stuff ...

I guess there really can't be any nuances or small details within the game that can be worked on for improvement, it's just a simple game ... anyone can go out there and be a star, right, because the game's so simple?

At least that's what I'm gathering from how simplistic your response makes football seem.

I guess you have no sense of humor

I most definitely do, when funny things are said/posted.

Eveld's favorite receiver is O.O. Bounds.  He's tripled the yards of any other receiver this year!

True, but better than fumbling or eating the sack.

+1, great analogy. He's okay once he gets up to speed, but his burst is like watching an 8-ft center try to sprint down the b-ball court. He needs a pocket that our line sadly can't provide.

You know what is sad? As much as Eveld is ragged on, he is a vast improvement over somebody Holtz actually recruited, Floyd.

Eveld isn't great, but he has improved on the turnovers and our receivers aren't helping him out.

Eveld will have a rough game against Louisville though.

I have made this point elsewhere but I think Eveld's play against Uconn was misleading bc he was hurt. If he plays like he did against Cinci I cant imaging anyone on this board being upset.

2 Qtrs,10 for 16, 0 TURNOVERS!!, 15 yards rushing, 122 PaYrds (and thats with dropped passes including a TD)

It is clear that Cinci is a better team than Uconn and Eveld did well. Maybe I am being overly optimistic but I thought I actually saw Eveld progress in the Cinci game. Fingers crossed!!

Who would you take in the 40, Eveld or Omogbehin?

hurt or not-- it is hard to argue against his importance in that last drive against UConn -- those three completions in that drive were crucial to USF pulling out a win.

If we could have more drives like that -- even without getting into the endzone (a very strange situation no doubt)--- we might be able to hang with UL. Al phases of the game have to show up o course-- the most important possibly being our defense since UL has shown that they can be scored upon
