Grass is always greener, huh guys? I bet you two were the most avid proponents of firing those two guys.

 

Leavitt would have pitched a fit like a child--yelling his head off and jumping around like a clown, but wouldn't have had a different outcome...probably worse.

 

Holtz would have grimaced, patted the kids on the butt, and shook his head about what to do...definitely worse outcome.

 

I'll stick with TaggArt, he has the best chance to overcome the gaffes and build a winner.

Holtz was an afraid of losing coach who brought us down on a continuing spiral to below mediocrity.  That's hard for me to even write.  I would have fired him last year at half time of the Miami game when he failed to even try to keep us in a fairly close game.   Those athletes on the field and the fans who support the program deserve better than that.   I think Leavitt was screwed and I continue to root for him as he coaches in the pros.  He'll always be the father of USF football in my opinion.

 

It's funny how all these guys pop up with very low post counts and make negative messages.  Are you guys on here already with a different acount and you want to stir the pot a bit?

 

I don't know and have never met Coach Willie T, but I do think he is dedicated and will work his tail off to make USF the best team that he can.   I for one think that he will succeed beyond many of our expectations and that USF will be looked to as a premier program.  I'm willing to give him the chance with my money as I continue to donate and buy my season tickets.

Like I stated....they would have never lost a game like that, to a division II opponent. When I played here for one year in 1999, redshirt, we played Division IAA, and we would have beat McNeese St. Expect a better performance next week, YA RIGHT.

1) McNeese is not Division II

2) USF played almost exclusively non IA opponents that year, so, yes, we did lose to teams like that.

3) In the unlikely event that you are not a troll and you did play in '99 -- we've done just fine thus far without your 'expert' opinion, so why don't you disappear for another 14 years and give us your take then?
