Will the fans be gentle this season?

Ucf dismantled ball state last year. Beating them would be an upset sorry to say.

I'm on the bus and expect a ****** season... but I will not tolerate a loss to UCF. I'm sure many will agree with me on this one.

We are not bad, but not that bad.

The team that dismantled Ball St? Really? smh

personally I don't care about the record. if the players play hard and don't quit then results will take care of themselves eventually.

I just hope Tags doesn't make some of the boneheaded decisions Holtz used to make. not use timeouts while time is running out, passing inside our own 20 with under 1 minute in a close game, settling for a FG from the opponents 2 on second down with plenty of time and multiple timeouts before end of half, kicking meaningless FGs to prevent a shutout, etc etc.

we should be able to tell how he reacts in certain situations. I haven't watched him coach but I really hope he has a better head on his shoulders and doesn't panic like Holtz and company.

Sums it up

It's all fine and dandy now.

But lose a few games and "fire somebody" threads start appearing.

We are in a rebuilding season and I hope everybody is patient.

Remember, we lost to just about anybody last year. And then we had no starter QB, no starter RB, and the secondary was bare.

USF football is in a fragile ["fra--gile" that's Italian!] state now and will probably need one more year.

GO BULLS!

That says fragile, dear

It's a major award.

Fans should call it like they see it.  No need to be gentle.  Holtz was a debacle, so I am glad the fans turned up the heat (though the last game was awkward).

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
