They are our stepping stone into the Taggart era. Win both and we skyrocket into the top 20, win one we gain some cred and wind up in the 30 to 40 range. Win neither and we don't move a hair from our current no 93. FAU and McNeese look like good filler wins if we win the others, they look expected if we don't. We have always done pretty well in September before our depth begins to betray us. Let's hope we can capitalize on that and then figure out how we get tougher in Oct. It's gonna be a process, but one thing the recent NFL signings have demonstrated is that we have always had the talent, let's hope that we finally figure out a way to utilize it. 2

Hope you are right though.

This year I want at LEAST 7 wins and a bowl game, meaning if we lose these two, plus cincy/RU/UL we have 7 wins, a win over the tin men, and we are back on track. I just don't want to FALL APART this season. If we fight for 60 minutes, 12 times, it'll be in itself a huge improvement.

MAC teams aren't filler wins to programs like ours.

I feel that the defense will hold up their end. If this is the case then I like our chances!
