Tent, chairs, smoker and cooler are all ready to go. Just need to finalize a menu and load up on the drinks!

Need to start the generator.  Haven't done that since last season.  Not very smart.

We should try to get together and find a spot early for the MSU game and get a serious tailgate.

We are continuing our tradition of trying to cook foods from the visiting team's area.  So McNeese State gets shrimp, gumbo, cornbread, hopefully some bread pudding with a whiskey sauce and the drink of the week will be Hurricanes.

What?   No jambalaya?   No boudin for appetizers?

;)

I agree, his menu is a little lacking.  No muffaletta?  No etouffee?  Red beans and rice?  Pralines?

They're all on this Board :roflmao:

As for the jambalaya, one person does the main dish.  He went with the gumbo even though I asked for the jambalaya.  He also knows of a beer from La. that Total Wine carries. Don't remember the name but will grab some up for the tailgate.
