Reality is this year will be 4 - 8 at best.  Short term pain, long term gain.  Do not expect much this year.  Defense will keep us in games for the most part.  We have several opportunities to be embarrassed (MSU, UL, Miami).

I really doubt we will only grab 4 wins.

 

 

I think we have some question marks, most notably at QB.... but if Bench can come in an play well... We are a decent team.

Just because someone isn't an apple-pie-in-the-sky Bulls fan doesn't mean they aren't a fan.  

 

We're coming off a 3-9 year, have a brand new coaching staff, will be starting a relatively inexperienced QB and we lost a lot of seniors. 

 

Forgive us if we're realistic and practical, but do us a favor and don't define our fanhood for us.  I'm as diehard a Bull as it gets and I'll be ecstatic if we get 6-7 wins this year.

Could be wrong, but I think around 6 wins is what most are hoping for. To say "Reality is this year will be 4 - 8 at best." is probably what's drawing ire, and perhaps by design. Even if it's truly his opinion, it's probably one of only a few on that end. Sounds like we need a survey.

You're correct on not 100% knowing what will happen this year.  I "hope" we run the table and go 12 - 0.  I love the Bulls.  Always have and always will.  I'm also realistic about things.

 

This is a "get through it" year and build for the future.  Not negative at all.  Same old out of this world expectations on this board.

 

Since when is it out of this world to expect the team to win 6 games? Gimme a break.

Geez Nancy, Our avg win total since joining the BE is 7 games per season, only once have we won less than 5. We are in a weaker Conference, now. We have a dynamic young coach who has resurrected a program  already. That's reality. You throw out a doomsday scenario with nothing to support it and claim that that is "reality" Give me a break.
