The media has hopped on the bus and there seems to be a decent feeling of optimism with the alum, in FL and nationally. But before we get too high or all doom and gloom, we need to see the product on the field. We have to get better on all phases of the game and WIN. Other wise we can be like UCF and be a decent team with some decent talent. But be the step-child in FL I think CWT and his staff are really committed to turning this program around and building it into a program that can get into one of the 5 conferences, and then hope to "cash in" on a payday and play some games that could help us stay in the fore front of college football

One could argue its worse, poor conference TV contract (we thought 10 mil a year was all but a given), exclusion from power 5, we were in the all important BCS. Yes we now have nice practice fields on campus, but no more of a plan or vision for an OCS even though all the public D1 programs in Florida are now on Campus. Willie T can recruit and I want to be optimistic but some of these barriers are hard (not impossible) to overcome.

The big 5 took everything of value (teams, coaches, bowls). There's nothing left to truly compete. Assuming he wins this year, I honestly would not be surprised if Taggart is gone within 7 months. We cannot compete now. Edited June 30, 2013 by Carolina_Bull

We'll pay I'm sure. If one of the big 5 really wants him, he's gone. Those teams make $20m per year off TV, we make $2m. Simple economics.

This is willies home. We will hold him here for a few years at least.

I feel he will build this program back from the "Holtz soft as cotton balls" era. He's building the program from homegrown talent. Kind of remind me when the Miami Hurricane began it's winning era. Hopefully minus the scandals and multiple violations.
