Agreed. Is BJ our only offensive player with a possibility of latching on somewhere? I haven't heard anything, either positive or negative, about Carlton Mitchell with the Bucs.

Carlton just dropped a huge TD pass, odds not looking too good for him.

Saw that... Felt bad :(

Carlton is the epitome of wasted talent. Maybe he should spend less time social networking.

good coaching and trust in your WRs.  It is clear that the entire time BJ was here he never was on the same page as his WR corp.

it will be interesting to see how the rest of preseason pans out for BJ.  This was garbage time against guys who will be on practice squads in a few weeks.  The other 2 guys in SF camp have not exactly lit the world on fire either so the door is wide open.

I thought BJ had the best chemistry with Griffin but he was hurt too much

The best part was seeing the reaction from his new team. He got ambushed when he made it back to the sideline.

First mention I've seen on Rotoworld:

CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco believes seventh-round QB B.J. Daniels has a "legitimate chance" to open the season as the 49ers' No. 2 quarterback.

Daniels has the biggest arm of the 49ers' backups, and he's done nothing to disappoint this summer. The dual-threat quarterback didn't play in the preseason opener, but completed 6-of-9 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown in Friday night's game. He also ran for 13 yards on four rushes. Colt McCoy and Scott Tolzien have combined to throw three interceptions and no scores.

BJ got us enough leads in the 4th quarter like he did Friday that Skip would still be here if he had the defense to have held them ...

More good news for BJ: Coach Jim Harbaugh announced rookie QB B.J. Daniels' practice reps will be increased this week so he's on equal footing with Colt McCoy and Scott Tolzien. In other words, Daniels is being given a legitimate chance to win primary backup duties behind Colin Kaepernick. Although Daniels took two sacks in Friday's preseason game against the Chiefs, he completed 67 percent of his nine pass attempts and threw a 14-yard TD strike to Chuck Jacobs. Under QB mastermind Harbaugh, Daniels is now worth grabbing in all deep Dynasty leagues.
