I think Vero is a good idea.

My high school lacrosse team would go to Vero every year for a 3 day weekend. As a player it was a great experience and everyone enjoyed it, and I think it was worth while, and I think especially for the newer team members it is beneficial. It really helps you feel more apart of the team when you are surrounded by your teammates every hour of the day.

Honestly, I think it might just be best to poll the players and get their feedback, which I assume will be positive.

I liked the Vero idea. Isolated the team from the rest of college life and put them in a bubble. It also gives us an opportunity to expand our fan base to a town that is in need of a team to take in since the Dodgers left town. I think a similar line of thinking is working well for the Rays in Charlotte.

It didn't seem to have a positive affect on the Bulls win loss record.  They don't play the season in a bubble so why practice that way?   How may people did playing in Charlotte put in the stands at the Trop for Ray's games??

I think there benefits to having a pro style training camp where the kids are focused on football and each other.  However, I think having it closer to Tampa, such as Lakeland at Tiger Town, would allow the fans to watch the team more often and perhaps aid in recruiting kids in Polk County.

Soemthing tells me Tags can motivate them without having to go there. My guess is that it's over.

I hope it's over.

Will save some money.

The team's record is not the fault of training camp location. Keep Vero going. The Staff there really supports the kids, creates bond among the team. Space/Treasure Coast is underecruited by Big 3 and us. It's also a lot cooler in swelter of summer. Less chance of heat related issues(Southie excluded of course) and they have put a lot of work in to make this a top notch facility. If you haven't been do yourself a favor. I also expect we have signed a term contract due to the upgrades they have put in, I would be surprised if we aren't locked in for a while.
