A friend of the coach calls a kid from the Super Bowl? How in the hell would that convince a kid to come to USF? Now if Harboughs are calling that could be a different story.

Nah, not bitter at all. I have seen mulitiple super bowls (along with a few wins) from the Pats along with watching multiple HOF players. So I am good on that account. My point, was how does being a friend of Coach H help with our recruiting? I just don't see it as being anything important.

I believe the conversation would be something like "I'm talking at you from the Niners locker room.  We'll be running the same type program and system.  Get on the bus."

Easy call for me. I hate the Patriots and I went to high school with a certain 49ers RB, so its always nostaligic to watch the niners play.

Ah, so you went to Gables? I remember watching Gore in high school and he was amazing...he had everything. Willis McGahee at Central and Corey Kinsey at Palmetto were down there around that time too. Late 90's/early 2000s was an incredible period for south Florida running backs.

That 49er offense looks so dynamic. My understanding is Taggart's will be similar if he can get the right players in here. Let's wish him luck on the recruiting trail.
