Let me clarify. What coach not at the middle of a scandal resigned. IE resigned over their record.

Bowden and before you say it I'm not sure the coach in waiting had anything to do with it. Jimbo or no Jimbo FSU had seen enough of Bobby.

Bottom line...A resignation wouldnt be unheard of.

So it doesn't happen all the time. Those stories are from years ago. Since then 1000000 coaches have been fired.

Also, countless coaches resign from smaller D2 and D3 schools all the time. Before anybody replies: yes I know those aren't BCS schools and yes I know their contracts are neglible compared to Skippy's big score.
