No I agree with this, but I'm in the minority that likes the Trop.

Dude, it's 2012. There are a lot more soccer fans out there than you realize. I don't see the Rays packing the Trop.

I'd rather have neither to tell you the truth (Rays attendance is a joke, even though I'm a fan). If I had to chose between the 2, I'd go with soccer. I just don't think the MLS is going to take off here. I'm a soccer fan...played varsity soccer for 4 years at Wharton HS, went to the World Cup in Orlando when I was a kid, had Mutiny season tickets, watch every US and Argentinian soccer game possible (My dad's from there). There's just way to many sports in town for a city that has a reputation of never backing up their teams. If you want to watch soccer, just watch the Premier League or La Liga on TV. The MLS is kid of a joke in terms of talent.

This article has some of the points you guys were arguing over(capacity, location, vinik, etc)

http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/11/28/report-tampa-soccer-specific-stadium-plans-works

Notice the nostalgic name they used.
