The 3 of you need your own thread to battle

No worries .... if anything REALLY happens, we'll interrupt our bickering with a Special Bulletin.

the problem is, nobody will see that "special bulletin" because it will be intermingled with another 30 pgs of :clubfight:

Good point. If anything really HAPPENS, we'll need to start a new, actual news based thread ...

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Good read that shows nothing has really changed. It's all about the TV money and ABC/ESPN is still meddling.

Here is some conference news for you. The SWC is breaking up!

I think that USF is going to be treated like Houston, SMU, TCU, and Rice when it is all over. ESECPN wants fewer teams to have to cover and promote. If they show, say the USF vs. UH game on a weekday night, the announcers really would not be talking about what is going on on the field, instead they would be making statements as to why they think that 7 SEC teams deserve to be in the 8 team playoff coming in a few weeks. And promoting the hell out of their weekend televised games ....

A giant sinkhole opening up and swallowing Bristol, Connecticut would be welcomed.

Discussing the ESPN night games, could the weekday lineup for the BE be Tuesday and Wednesday games?

Look for SEC Thursday nigts (early game) and Pac 12 late game.

Friday to be Big 12 on Fox with ACC on ESPN.

Sat night Fox will have Big12.

It appears Fox is ready to shell out money for Tier 2 rights with FSU and Clemson.

Yeah. The SEC. Whose towns depend on these games each fall to support local businesses, will be gladly take more than the 1-2 Thursday night games they commit to each year.

They fill Saturday nights on ESPN. They don't need Thursday nights. The Big East will keep our 3-4 slots a year.
