Hopefully none of our opponents the rest of the year see film on us or else we won't be able to complete that wideout screen pass any more.  That was the only play that worked in the passing game.  How obvious is it when BJ gets under center that it will be a play action pass deep?  Doesn't really matter, because he throws a terrible deep ball anyway.  I was begging for him to throw it over the middle to Shields all game (he was wide open almost the entire game).  The one time he does, its late gets tipped and picked.  Brutal.

Where is our passing game when it comes to Big East opponents?

This team is frustrating........I've been avoiding this website for a couple of days and this is all I can muster up anymore.

See ya Homecoming everybody, Go Bulls!

Cincy is watching film on our bubble screens as we speak.  If they try this same nonsense against them, it will get picked off for a pick six.  Book it!

Here's a thought.  Pump that bubble screen and throw it down the field.  What are the odds we see that Saturday???

Nice thought.  Do you think that it would be a completion down field or that it would end up 10 yards long or possibly down in the turf?

We haven't seen that play in 4 years.  Grothe hit Carlton Mitchell vs Syracuse for a 25 yard TD with that same play.  Why haven't we done it since then?  Especially since those safeties are used to us throwing that screen?  I've been wanting this play in the arsenal each game since.

There is a 1% chance that happens.  Because Cinci knows that we know that they know that we know that they know we might try that.

We have 0 pass plays down the field.  I think we are running the ball well with the RBs but are too one dimensional for either run or pass to shine.  Passes are not accurate at even moderate range.

We ran that call once against Pitt. It was incomplete, but it was a tough throw to begin with and the reciever dropped it.

you realize that was a completely different coaching staff, right? apparently you remember grothe throwing that pass play but you can't remember daniels hitting mitchell in stride 50 yards down the field against syracuse for an 85 yard TD. or remember the 50 yarder in the air to the endzone against wvu. or the 73 yarder play action rollout to Griffin against FSU. nice selective memory.

daniels throws a nice deep ball. especially down the sideline.

nobody will complete them all but you have to actually call the play in order to complete one. this staff doesn't call them. it's actually daniels strength. probably why he had a 50 yarder  against wvu as well as another 49 yarder and a 75 yarder his freshman year when the last coaching staff actually figured out it was pretty **** good at throwing it deep.. add a 33 and a 28 yard TD and you have 6 of 11 TDs over 25 yards. not bad considering he was the 33rd rated passer that year.
