This was probably a cost versus benefit decision by USF. They probably thought it would cost them that much to go to trial. Glad it is over.

So, how long is it, if ever, before we have a Jim Leavitt appearance at a football game? Also, if it happens, how will he be received by the crowd?

25th Anniversary.  Prolonged standing ovation.

Agreed. I don't think he was the man to take us to the next level, but he got us this far and I wish the terms on which he left were better.

Interesting, after the very brief announcement in the early part of the news, Fox 13 made no mention of it during the sports segment.

If I remember correctly, CJL was supposed to take our school to the cleaners and devastate us.

Seems about what I think most "rational" people expected.

Good for Jim and good for USF. Glad it is over with.

Hmm.  Settlement and non-disclosure pacts on both sides.  Exactly as I predicted, despite the repeated insistence that this was all about the truth coming out and not about the money.

I guess it was about the money, since we'll never hear from any of the parties involved ever again.
