  1. Well *I* know the name of USF, and that's enough for me to base my decisions on. I could never cheer for Bobby Petrino, he is a blight on college sports and an all-around despicable person. He leaves a wake of chaos and embarrassment everywhere he goes. No thanks.
  2. ****, really thought they were going to surprise the Pats by starting him at quarterback.
  3. One interesting way to do it would be to have him come back and coach one of the alum teams for an alum v. alum flag game during homecoming. He would get a standing ovation as he came on the field, and all would be forgiven And there would probably be a bigger crowd for that than there would be if they did it at one of the actual football games. I meant during halftime of the actual homecoming football game, sorry for the confusion. Oh, my bad. In that case, I disagree, I think it would be more respectful and meaningful to do it at a time and place when there would be people there to see it.

  5. Are you talking about "The Office"? They sit on the 1st base side now. Haven't noticed anything vulgar. They do the "left, right, left, right" thing when a guy strikes out. Their numbers are down. Yes that was them. Thanks for the info.
  6. So I last went to baseball games with any sort of regularity like four or five years ago. When I was going then, there was a group of losers (in the old stadium of course) who sat directly behind home plate and yelled nonstop at the ump, players, and anyone else they could think of. They had some cute, affectionate nickname for themselves, but I can't remember what. They never shut up, they were really loud (unnecessarily so in a stadium that usually had about 30 people in it), and were often vulgar. The worst part was probably how hilarious they mistakenly thought they were. Do these jerks still do this at every game?
  7. Also, Alabama and USF are both going independent as part of an agreement to play all 12 regular season games against each other every year from now on.
  8. Well definitely not THE youngest, but certainly close. As mentioned in the above blog post Danny White, athletic director at Buffalo, is the youngest. He is 32. Higgins is either 34 or 35. In a very brief Google search, I couldn't find any others younger than Higgins, but that doesn't mean for sure they don't exist.
  9. Imagine if one of us were actually qualified to be an AD. I know I'd be on cloud nine to even be considered. I agree that he's probably pretty geeked about it. He and I both are c/o 2000, so I'd like to see him get the gig for that additional reason. That makes him like, what, 35? That's pretty young. Would he be the youngest D1 AD if hired? Not saying that's a bad thing, but somehwat unprecedented... this blog post doesn't seem to have a date on it from what I can tell, so I'm not sure how old it is (edit: it's pretty recent.) http://fbs.twcsecurityhosting.com/news/10035-the-rise-of-the-young-athletic-director
  10. I have no idea if he would ultimately want it, or if the university would ultimately want him, but as a USF grad who apparently has a strong connection to Tampa, I've got to imagine he loves even being thought of as a candidate.
  11. Dude, you shouldn't even be driving. (I'm sorry, I was out of line. That includes to you, Hem.)
  12. It's more than entertainment for some. I think we should let people decide for themselves what they want out of their participation in the board. What is the purpose of your participation on this board if not for just entertainment? Spiritual fulfillment? Learning how to fix a lawn mower? Geez. Everyone is so dam* touchy. When the product sucks I guess people turn on each other. And given the anonymity of a board, everyone's a tough guy. Anonymity? I don't know about you, but gobulls83 is my real name. Anyway, I guess "entertainment" is a pretty broad term, but this board is a source of news, analysis, intelligent discussion, unintelligent discussion, and assessment of Publix subs, just to name a few of its purposes.
  13. Pity for UCF? I'm a Bucs fan and feel nothing but pity for the 49ers and Seahawks too. One will play in the Super Bowl and get a low draft pick. Sucks to be fans of those teams. Same goes for the FSU fans. Having to spend all that money on championship shirts and hats must be weighing them down. Truth is you just are pissed and in denial of where USF sits as it is and are jealous of UCF,crying about it by making up idiot remarks that only make you look more like an idiot. Give it a rest dude. It's weak. You're weak. See what I mean? You are probably right. I feel like I'm kind of picking on the kids who ride the short bus to school. I don't want to be a bully, so I'll leave you UCF clowns* to your own devices. * - That's not meant to include you, CPR.

Give it a rest dude. It's weak. You're weak. You are the one here trying to impress USF fans. I can't figure out why you would be doing that if it weren't your own insecurities. Winning the Fiesta Bowl obviously wasn't enough for you, or you wouldn't be here begging for USF fans to validate your team's season. Every post you make is further evidence of this. I didn't seek out a UCF message board - why would I want to talk to a bunch of college graduates reading and writing at a fourth-grade level? You came here to spout your worthless garbage, ergo, you still feel like you have something to prove. Understandably so, I might add.
  15. ... I'm sorry your plea for attention didn't work out the way you hoped? Am I the only one who called you on your rumor mongering?
  16. I'm sorry if my posts appear to have venom. The word that best describes how I feel is pity.
  17. Had no idea how big or small it was, which is why I wrote it when I did and the way I did. And I agree it's not big right now at all. Why does everything have to be either super-huge or total non-story?? How often do you write a story with absolutely zero worthwhile details? You treated it like a big story. You put something out there with basically no info because you wanted to get it out there first, or something along those lines. Why else wouldn't you wait until you had more info? Trying to now blame the people who read the article for interpreting it the exact way you presented it is cowardly ********. Stand behind your decision, or admit you were wrong to handle it the way you did.
  18. Well at the end of the day, USF grads will always have one thing going for them that UCF grads don't: They're not UCF grads. Congratulations on your school's, what, second noteworthy win ever? In 35 years of playing football? It's going to take a lot more than that for you to get the approval of USF fans that you so desperately crave.
  19. Still desperate to impress us. Even when called out on it, you can't get past your inferiority complex. Tragic.
  20. And losing to crappy FCS teams should get you in? No one, including a lot of people in Tampa want to watch USF football. Our attendance is atrocious. It's going to take a long time to dig out of this hole. Point me to where I said USF is going to the Big XII, or any other conference? Both USF and UCF are stuck in this minor league conference. Neither one is going anywhere.
  21. They had 10 wins against garbage opposition. Again, if consistently winning 10 games against trash opponents gets you in, Boise State would be on the inside looking out. But they aren't, because wins and losses have nothing to do with anything. Anyone who insists otherwise can be refuted with a single word: Rutgers. That Pitt and Syracuse won football titles decades ago is only a coincidence. They were taken because of their markets, images, and existing relationships (not necessarily just athletics) with other schools in the conference they joined. They haven't won **** in football in years.
  22. groupthink is unhealthy , moving posts takes it out of context. And it should be USif, a BCS Trophy is now added to the trophy case in East Orlando. A loud, somehow still arrogant dwindling fanbase over here that is in complete denial It must be really depressing thinking so little of your own team that even after the biggest win its history (not saying much), you have to rush over to your big brothers and beg for validation. Obviously you know that a single win over a Baylor team that didn't show up doesn't make it not embarrassing to be a UCFer. Rush over here? The game was January 1 and your AD just got fired bc your Program is a complete dumpster fire and you have fans that are in complete denial what UCF has accomplished. You guys had 9-10k actual fans towards the end of the regular season and u guys still have your collective heads up your rear ends and somehow are still arrogant when GoldenBuc drops facts you don't want to hear about your dying Program instead it turns into an irrational hate UCF rant You and your lot were over here begging for USF fans' approval before the game even ended.
  23. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. Wins and losses have nothing to do with it. Rutgers. Pitt. Syracuse. Boise State. How many times does it have to be repeated? And even if wins and losses had anything to do with it, why would UCF's two or three noteworthy wins in 35 years of playing football be enough to push them over the edge? Yeah, because the Big XII administrators are so clueless that they must assume games played within the past three weeks must represent the way things always were and always will be. You are wrong. Syracuse and Pitt have national championships and history. Those are wins. It's not recent history bit it's still huge. History is big. Not to mention they have elite basketball programs. Boise is not in the footprint of big 12 and the PAC will not take them no matter how much they win. I'll give u Rutgers but their more about increasing tv dollars. WVU rode a couple BCS wins all the way to the b12 and UCF may do the same. So Syracuse and Pitt got in despite sucking lately because of their history. But UCF is going to the Big XII despite their history of sucking because they had two impressive wins this year. Got it.
  24. I don't know, time will tell. But unless you have something specific to add, there's no reason to be afraid that there's anything serious under the covers. If you're asking me which is more likely, that it is coincidental timing, or that there is some major, department-altering scandal on the horizon, I'm going to say it being a coincidence is more likely.
