coaches called a great game. after the slow start against syracuse and wvu, i am happy to see them realize BJ shouldn't be asked to win games passing the ball.

17 passes per game in our 2 conference wins compared to 30.5 passes per game in our losses.

they are adjusting their game plans to fit their personnel.

Noticed how Brian Bennett took a swipe at the old staff about being the reason we struggled against Rutgers.

He was 100% correct with what he said. The other time we beat them we had a good running game and our D forced a bunch of turnovers.

Also, the other time was the first year for USF in the Big East, so if they really were using the same game plan every year, that just means it worked the first time. ;)

To answer the question, yes. I criticized Holtz a bit (though not as much as some) after the Florida, Syracuse and West Virginia losses because I thought the team's playcalling didn't make sense given the personnel. I also thought he failed to make some needed adjustments within games. But the past two games have been all about adjustments and the coaches seem to finally have figured out what they need to do in order to make this offense move. The players have played great in these past two wins, but the coaches deserve a huge chunk of credit too.

Love the guy on Ron and Ian that said Holtz has no clue what he's doing.

Have you seen the improvement of this team over the season?

Yes, we've made some strides when it comes to discipline (some). Secondly, the team shows a "bounce back" when mistakes are made. Prior years, we had a hard time doing that. Usually, when we fell behind, the wheels would come off.  It will continue to get better.

Go to 2:47 of this video and listen. That is what I want a college coach to teach. I am so very happy.

I'm happy with Holtz and co because they have shown the ability to outcoach their opponents. It didn't start off smoothly but we're getting there and the players are getting better at executing.
