  1. Leavitt couldn’t carry Myers jock from a coaching perspective (all things considered relating the role). Just a reality. I like Leavitt but he’s at least 2 rungs below Myer. I think it’s safe to assume Leavitt considers himself to be pretty lucky and appreciative for all that he has achieved.
  2. He'll be given walking papers the game after UCONN but will be retained through end of the season. The players aren't motivated and neither is he.
  3. The fan-base was passionate and a bright outlook/enthusiasm/confidence in a brighter future was much more prevalent. I'll take that over, Holtz, Taggert and Strong any day.
  4. Jim Leavitt had passion and conveyed his desire to be at USF. The fanbase responded with passion. Every coach since then has lacked passion and has given no indication that they really desire to be at USF. The fanbase has responded accordingly. I think recruits will respond accordingly as well as it relates to Strong.
  5. I agree. To add, no one outside of UCF fans care about their undefeated season. In the arena of college football some fans might think it's "cute." That's it. No matter what UCF/USF accomplish in the AAC, it doesn't amount to dog-squeeze to the rest of college football fandom. The "snubs" will continue to occur until we move up. It will never change as long as we are in this horrid conference.
  6. His hyperbole soup would be hilarious if it weren't so pathetic. Whatever success he has had in his coaching career can be attributed to timing. Nothing else. He is not a motivator, he's not a leader and he's a terrible communicator. It was a no-baggage hire. Period.
  7. It’s really a non-issue. In the grand scheme, the masses will have no idea and would not care.
  8. By proxy, Quinton Flowers single-handedly obtained the Oregon and FSU job for Taggert.
  9. Having a soft spot for St. Pete, I hope it's referred to as: "The Sandman Hotel Center."
  10. Personally I would prefer......Wait for it............The Kilian's Red Dome!
  11. Exactly. Just ask the Bucs. They had more success when they practiced at their meager location by the airport (playoff wins, championship games, Superbowl). They haven't done a thing since moving into their new "palace."......They were supposed to attract all the top free agents with that place...What a joke.
  12. Pyrrhic victory....We will lose badly next week. Just being realistic. The Defense has NO fight. None.
  13. All of the "bouncing" is very beneficial to the structural integrity.
  14. Drank a bunch of beer and watched the whole game last night. I tricked my wife and told her to look at "how full the stadium is for tonight's game." .......She thought it was real time.
  15. And then the greed of ESPN, the main conferences and their collaboration/collusion to prevent inroads for schools like USF occurred.
  16. I have more fun when there is no one there to watch. I had a great time Wednesday night. Unfortunately, they didn't turn the lights on. I still had fun though.
  17. Strong will regret that "jab.".....Never criticize the customer or potential customers. Bad move. How did the big crowds help him at TX?
  18. Translation: "It would be great to have a stadium and we know where we would like it built, we just need to figure out how to pay for it. Currently, we don't have the revenue but we need your support, we need you to go the games for the next 10 years, and once that happens then we can revisit."
