I can confirm MNW QB Teddy Bridgewater is in Tampa for an official visit to #USF today. He'll leave tomorrow.

Honestly, if he's down on Miami now with Shannon gone we appear to be the best remaining fit for him. Teams like LSU and UL have already grabbed pretty spectacular QB recruits that he'd have to compete against, he would literally walk in here day 1 and be the starter.

Last 3 tweets from Josh Newberg...

Teddy Bridgewater will be hosted by freshman standout Terrence Mitchell while on his OV to #USF.

I'm hearing Anthony Chickillo could make it over to #USF for an unofficial visit while Teddy Bridgewater is on campus. I'll know more later.

Teddy would be a HUGE get but im not getting my hopes up, i think he ends up at UL or sticks with miami though.  I really hope he proves me wrong though.

He decommitted after Shannon was fired. Visited Louisville and planned this trip to USF about a week ago. There is a thread on the recruiting board.

We'd need to not honor some commitments if we managed to get Bridgewater and Chickillo to commit during their visits this weekend because the flood afterward would be epic.

I hope we get at least one of em. Think we have a shot for both.

He would've committed to LSU by now had he not wanted to stay close to home.

UF is in the running too.  But with Driskill already committed I doubt he tests those waters.

I say we got a 30% chance.

miami has a bunch of young QBs

UL has a elite 11 qb already commited

UF has Driskel commited

USF has no clear cut starter and i would expect a QB competition in the spring

Would be a pretty good get ... looks like he has some GREAT mobility, doesn't have the strongest arm but he's accurate and hits the open guys.

Here's a cool Youtube:
