I'm fine with everything except the tailgating restrictions.

2nd

I dont care about all of those rules,  sems like most should have or could have been there without notice from me.  But only four hours in the lots?

gay

This wouldnt be needed with an OCS.  Tailgating would be spread all over campus.  Seems like this rule is there to stop large groups from congregating and attacking opposing fans.

When the TSA came for the students,

I remained silent;

I was not a student.

When they locked up the standers,

I remained silent;

I was not a stander.

When they came for the hecklers,

I did not speak out;

I was not a heckler.

When they came for the drunks,

I remained silent;

I wasn't a drunk.

When they came for me,

there was no one left to speak out.

This could have all been averted if we would have policed our own. I do not like some of the rules but you reap what you sow.

I stood outside the stadium last week for about 30 minutes before the game. I did not see any real obnoxious behavior. Nothing worse than some USF people chanting USF at some KU fans. No obscenities etc.

You hit this one on the head Puc.  It's easy to say "I only tailgate for 3-4 hours anyway....doesn't effect me."  Or "I bring cans to the tailgate anyway...doesn't effect me."  "I don't drink at the game....let them cancel beer sales."

Just wait until one of you "angels" gets confronted by security for some bogus complaint (this will happen and does happen every game).  You will not be happy about this overreaction.  When you see the same drunks and A-holes at the games, you will not be happy about what you had to give up while they can continue to be A-holes.

To punish the small percentage of jerks, lets punish the entire population.....brilliant move USF.

the idea is nice but if they police the stadium on the inside to the point where i cant stand up and yell and do what i do then i will be very angry

I am worried about that as well. I am sure that there will be some over reaction to people standing at first. Hopwfully it will calm down as the season goes on.

My thoughts as well.

I don't drink so I could care less about alcohol but if it gets to the point where I get thrown out for standing I will be very angry.

Changes needed to be made but some of these are only going to cause more problems.  You can also bank on a DUI check point after the Pitt game.

If someone is drunk and disorderly in the stadium, then kick them out. If they are physically or verbally abusing someone, then arrest them and take away their student/season tickets. Tailgating 4 or 20 hours before hand has NOTHING to do with that. If anything it's the opposite effect. If you are drinking for 5 or 6 hours, you'll be passed out by the time you get into the game.

Now, you have people drinking probably the SAME amount of alcohol in a SHORTER amount of time. This might cause more problems outside the stadium then inside the stadium (particularly if you weren't allowed into the game).

-- Fans deemed intoxicated by law enforcement will be denied entry to games

Whatever the police "deem" intoxicated could be troublesome.

Overall I do like the rule.

They aren't going to make you blow into a breathalyzer when they scan your ticket.  Just like boarding an airplane if you are being a beligerant jerk they are going to take a closer look at you.  A

I agree with all of the rules.  They are not restrictive to a point where it would create a hardship for fans, yet they are strong enough to send a message.

No one needs more than 4 hours of tailgating before a game.
