They are not restrictive to a point where it would create a hardship for fans, yet they are strong enough to send a message. No one needs more than 4 hours of tailgating before a game. No one needs 3 hours either. But I bet if that were the rule more people would be speaking up. Again, I don't see any correlation between how long you tailgate and any bad behavior. I hope not.

Cuz that would be one big plus of the new rules.

A few idiots ruin things for the 99.9% of people that are (for the most part) well-behaved. Everyone is talking about policing your own. Guess what, we didn't even get a chance to police our own. The Kansas game was the first I've heard of this kind of behavior on a "larger than your average football game" scale. So this crap happens once, and bam, big brother drops the hammer on everyone. The 4 hour rule is ridiculous. My group likes to get out early on a Saturday and watch all of the college football games during the day. We have a ton of **** that we set up that, now w/ this 4 hour crap, we will be basically getting out, watching an hour of the games, and packing back in the truck. Absolutely ridiculous. Way to overreact.

Scary stuff.
