Jim Johnson Posted September 20, 2008 Group: TBP Subscriber III Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 4,617 Reputation: 1,246 Days Won: 9 Joined: 12/02/2018 Share Posted September 20, 2008 Courtesy Greg's Blog...Among the changes that will take effect at USF's next home game, Oct. 2 against Pittsburgh:-- Parking lots will open no more than four hours before kickoff-- No mass quantities of alcohol in parking lots: kegs or large vessels containing alcoholic beverages are prohibited and will be confiscated-- USF will increase its security and law enforcement presence in parking lots and during games, including undercover officers in the stadium-- Fans deemed intoxicated by law enforcement will be denied entry to games-- Abuse of intoxicants will not be tolerated; such abuse will result in ejection from the game-- Same for profanity and offensive language, as well as disorderly behavior and abusive or threatening behavior toward the visiting team, its fans, and game officials-- USF will promote the stadium's fan messaging service, which allows fans to report inappropriate behavior by sending a text message to 813-277-6501 or call 813-350-6501-- All fans must now present ID to purchase alcohol from concessions-- Ticket privileges of any fan ejected from a game will be revoked, including season-ticket holders Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kegs or large vessels that contain alcoholic beverages will be prohibited and confiscated* The number and presence of security, law enforcement personnel and ATB agents will be increased* Efforts to identify intoxicated fans will be enhanced. Fans determined by law enforcement to be intoxicated will be denied entry to the stadiumInside Stadium* The number and presence of security and law enforcement personnel will be increased and enforcement of all stadium policies will be enhanced. Special emphasis will include, but not be limited to:* Abuse of intoxicants will not be tolerated. Fans will be ejected for abusing intoxicants* Profanity and other offensive language will not be tolerated. Fans will be ejected for using profanity and offensive language* Disorderly behavior will not be tolerated. Fans will be ejected for such behavior* The promotion of the stadium’s fan messaging service in which fans seeking assistance can immediately text 813-277-6501 or call 813-350-6501 will be dramatically increased* The monitoring of alcohol sales and use will be enhanced.* The stadium concessionaire will require identification from all fans purchasing alcohol. (Current practice requires identification only from those who appear to be 30 years of age or younger.)* Additional undercover officers will be deployed to monitor and enforce all alcohol policies* Ticket privileges will be revoked for those ejected from a game or arrested (policy will apply to season ticket holders, single-game ticket buyers and students)* The fact that the USF Student Code of Conduct and Student Alcohol Policy extends to all games at Raymond James Stadium will be more effectively communicated to all students. I would think they might mean things like a "hunch punch" tub or other such "vessel" ... rather than a cooler containing numerous smaller vessels.But some clarification would be helpful.
