Obviously, win those games and the NET rises. But lose any of those Quad 3 or 4 games and the drop in NET is significant. The Maine, Central Michigan and Hofstra loses are killers in the grand scheme of the NET ranking. Taking a Quick Look at Bracketology this morning and the last 4 in are Kansas St (74 NET), Boise St (56), Mississippi St (38), and Colorado (30). First four out: Nevada (51), TCU (29), Ole Miss (57), and Cincy (32). We currently sit at 116. Lots of work to do. I think even by winning out, our schedule strength simply won’t allow us to make up that much ground. Will getting to the Conference finals get it done? Who knows? Run the gauntlet to get there by beating 2 of the 3 Q1 teams, then maybe. There are only 36 at large bids to give out, so you’ve got to be pretty elite to get one. Win the tourney and grab one of those 32 automatic bids and see what happens. Anyway, it’s actually fun to be at the games and watch this team right now. Enjoy the next 6 weeks of the regular season. Go Bulls! this is 100% spot on. Those early losses killed us. Edited January 29 by flsportsfan83

Good to see more people getting back into college hoops. USF is already 3 games over my 10 win prediction so everything else is gravy at this point. Memphis falls to UAB 88-97, third loss in a row ......... I wish we had another shot at UAB in the regular season. That is not good for us. Memphis likely to drop out of the top 25, and our win against them doesn't look as good now as it did a week ago. The positive thing about it is Memphis looks vulnerable and I like our chances to get another win against them if we play them in the AAC tournament. Let’s see USF win the regular season AAC championship & get the top seed in the AAC tournament. USF makes it to the finals & I do believe they will get an at large in case they so happen to find a way lose in the AAC championship game

Based upon past cases, I believe the committee would do so. If we end up winning out and go 26-6 with our lone lose in the AAC Finals to say FAU in a close one, I imagine that the committee would put more stock in the 24-2 stretch at the end of the season than the 2-4 stretch at the beginning. 17 minutes ago, Bull Matrix said: Let’s see USF win the regular season AAC championship & get the top seed in the AAC tournament. Heck yeah John. I can’t remember the last time we beat a top ten team and reeled off 12 straight W in men’s Basketball. The Brian Gregory years were so hard to stomach. Just enjoy it. Let’s say things break right & USF wins the rest of the regular season games and then makes it to the AAC finals. I do believe this warrants an NCAA bid no matter what happens during that AAC title game. Hopefully we see AAC get 3 to 4 teams in the NCAAs this season.
