Time will tell!

If someone breaks the gor and the acc has to renegotiate.  Their deal of not taking money is broke, and they would have a seat at the payout table on the new deal.

i can't bring myself to watch Miami / Rutgers

Two of the doucheyest fanbases on the planet

If you could play a three-way football game with UCF you'd probably have a portal to hell open on the field itself

I'm with ya.  They're more than likely going to lose to a 6-6 ACC team and we whooped that ass of 6-6 ACC team.  And who got the call up?

You think if SMU hadn't forgone the money that they'd be in ACC because of their location? Disagree. It was all about the Benjamins and the fact that they happened to be playing well this year.

Absolutely not, which was why I said AND the location. Without both, they'd still be with us no matter how they were playing ........ the shaking head was following the SMU being "smart" assessment.

They were smart to join losing out on the current ACC contract. They still make way more if they win the acc, get a cfb playoff invite, or if the rumors come true at some point and a team breaks the ironclad ACC GOR contract. Then they would be a member at the ACC table when the new contract is negotiated in kicked in and associated themselves with much better programs than UAB, FAU, Rice, Charlotte, UNT,  and UTSA from the new call ups. I would rather attach a football program to the current acc minus FSU/Clemson the only real values any day then the current AAC filled with UAB, FAU, Rice, Charlotte, UNT,  UTSA, Temple, TULSA,Navy, ARmy, Memphis , Tulane, ECU, and USF. It is a bold move, but will may off better in the long run. Fortune favors the bold. AD MK took the right step righting the biggest failure in modern fbs football by hiring Golesh, investing in facilities, but we are still attached wtih 13 other programs no one cares about. I would rather be playing the ACC teams forgoing the conference money any day because we would make up for it on ticket sales by bringing in teams that have value.

So into CFB you'll borderline watch anything but especially ridiculous games... like 6-6 BC playing in a baseball stadium at 11am on a weekday. A classic sickos game would be a meaningless MAC game on a Tuesday, or something like Iowa-Purdue.

So the ACC is a better conference to be in than the AAC .......... got it.
