Yikes after that debacle we are ranked 128 at defense...2 away from worst.

Wow so we ultimately didn't improve from last year.  It's interesting you would think it would be possible to not be at the bottom.

Depressing how horrible we have been on defense for many years.

Golesh has to know defense has to be a priority. Offense was ranked 21 or so. We are actually ahead of schedule and they will only get better.

I see where Lincoln Riley fired his long time top assistant and defensive coordinator because USC has given up 42 points and 484 yards per game over the last six games, including this week vs Washington with 52 points and 572 yards. Oddly, except for the firing, this sounds familiar. maybe Orlando just needs more time...maybe.

We allowed 43.1 ppg on defense last year and are allowing 38.6 ppg this year.

However, our SoS is 98th this year vs 74th last year and we're allowing 48 ppg the last four games so we're trending in the wrong direction. Defense is at least as bad as last year, maybe better on effort and tackles but the end product is nowhere close to good enough.

Defense has been disappointing.  What’s strange is that they looked like they were really gonna turn the corner earlier in the season.  They plain looked better.  Making tackles they would have missed last year, etc.   there was a thread on here showing how our stats were on pace to blow last years stats out of the water.  I guess the opponents watched film and recognized that they just need to attack us through the air.

Golesh will not survive 3 years of Todd Os defenses

Its not a talent issue. Yes good talent could make him look better but he has a scheme problem and positioning players.  Bad angles. He is easily outcoached every game. Good coaches do more with less.

You're assuming he's not and that he won't.  I'm not trying to defend him and he may be/need to be let go at the end of this season.   But the whole team is in year 1 of a rebuild

That's an assumption.  He's got 4 wins this year to date
