Just like the offense with the deep balls, when the D starts grabbing every opportunity on turnovers, it'll look a whole lot better. We're 3-2 and on track for a bowl game and it still feels like we haven't seen a complete game from this team.

Maybe they will start using eggs in practice to teach them the importance of soft hands.

Good point.  Still haven't seen the complete game.  And both of the losses (yes, including Alabama) were winnable.  I guess it's also fair to say that the 3 wins were losable, too, considering that all 3 of them scored points on us before we could score on them.  Winning teams figure out a way to win games--That's the difference I'm seeing here compared to the last 3 years.

Just think, if we beat Bama they would not be ranked.

Not true. All they have to do is win one or two conference games and because the SEC is so “tough” they’ll be right back in the rankings. It happens every season pretty much. Some SEC school has a bad ooc loss early, wins a couple conference games, and boom unranked to top 15. Because ESPN says that winning against an SEC team is like beating an NFL team.

I'm just happy Alabama is still winning. It makes us look even better.

UAB had too much motivation and inspiration. My list -

1. The UAB players put the kids from the charity names on the back of their jerseys. Now do you think they really wanted to go back to those kids and say "Even though I wore your name on my jersey, we lost"...hell no!!!! lol

2. They are 1-4...they are desperate for a win

3. This was their first AAC home game

4. Do you really think the "football Gods" would have allowed those kids to not get a victory? We were cursed from the start.

5. Somebody made a "thread of fear" that jinxed us

I'm not debating this list! :04-rock:

As coach said after the Navy win, if we get caught up in our record so far somebody will out work us.  Well something like that.  We got out worked.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
