I didn't realize how old he is. At his age and with all the money in the world I would be travelling the world instead of having to spend most of my time in Alabama; which seems only slightly better then Siberia.  His legacy is made and he will go down as one of the all time great college coaches so I think this would be a perfect time to retire.

Ego.  Some people just love being in the spotlight... or maybe he wants to retire on top (with a championship).

But I hear ya ... Ya have to think he can do more endorsements and Fox or ESPN would throw money at him as well... more money, far far less work than coaching a bunch of 18-22 year olds.

Maybe he just loves coaching  and hates losing.

I have to question Mr. Siegrist's statement that 64,000 seats have been distributed.  Take a look at ticketmaster for the game.  RayJay only holds about 66,000.  There's way more than 2,000 blue seats still for sale on the purchase map.  My guess is we're about 5,000 short of a sell out right now, but it should be a clean sell out by the end of the first quarter.

I think they removed those BRADY seats. I remember seeing an article about it.

So much nicer without those seats there. It was enjoyable being able to walk around like normal.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
