As I type this, Brad's set up a quote to appear on the right:

How wrong we were.  CJS was an unknown that didnt work out on the field.

I think CCS is a worse hire overall because:

  1. The circumstances were sketch in his hiring. (failed as Texas.)
  2. He took something good and broke it.
  3. Sterlin Gilbert.
  4. Just completely tone deaf on anything about Tampa.

He had 10 wins in his first season, 7 his 2nd, and 4 in his last. His total record at USF is 21-18 which is a winning record. CJS had 4 wins total and maybe 2 FBS wins. It's not even close. CCS may not have cared, but he was still able to pull some victories while not caring. CJS was just incompetent and made bad personal and player decisions.

Charlie strong dug our grave and Scott Jeff buried us. Those two men completely burned our athletics program to the ground.

The '10 wins' bullet point is overstated. We had 10 wins for a few reasons, none of them CCS: Flowers, Johnson, Tice, Valdez-Scantling. When he got the chance to build the team he wanted, we got worse and worse. Homeboy wanted to slow the offense down but didn't build a defense. The point differential in our games went from +15 > -4 > - 8. We had 5 blowout losses in his last year. CCS is a bad coach. CJS is one of the worst coaches of all time, period.

Amazing we could get them back to back…

I want to say, “but it’s a whole new era”!  But that has been stained too.

In the end he is our only coach that really has a full 10 win season. 🤷 I know the team is inherited. He still has more wins in his worse season than CJS entire career here.

I seems to be more interesting via chart than just text.

We have only two coaches above 0.500 and only three coaches with bowl wins. Jeff Scott is in a class of failure on his own.  Safe to say neglecting athletics under Judy didn't help the football program.
