Remind me, did Lane Kiffin express interest in coaching at USF - or was this a one-way street - where we had interest in him?  And if we did have interest, was it substantive or was it a case of 'we'll interview anyone who shows up'?

I was very on board with the CCS hire. Thought a lot of the issues at Texas were due to booster... "problems". I was super wrong. Was wrong again with CJS. Was wrong after CJL with CSH. Maybe I'm overly optimistic.

This is a great thread - will someone do a breakdown of the coaching search when CJS was hired?

It's crazy to think how close we were to still having CJS as the HC. I know we lost some of the games due to his coaching, but if we win 2 or 3 of the UF, Cincy, Tulsa, and UCF games, he probably doesn't get canned. I'm kind of thankful that we didn't and I am glad he is gone and that we have CAG, but it is crazy that we almost beat 3 of those teams.

The folks from the UT boards were warning us. On reddit, UT fans were throwing a ******* parade. And sad little us though "COULD YOU IMAGINE?! CWT's offense with CCS's defensive mind? We're going to the 'ship!" lol

CWT's qb and Chuck's D did work out nicely for one year but alas ......
