UT fan here. No he isn't the main play caller. They did share the duties. He's a great recruiter. He's great at finding mismatches in the defense. Overall your getting a good coach. UT fans are gonna miss him. I think it's a solid hire.

I remember seeing him on the sidelines during our war on i4 game when he was there, thinking that he was the head coach. CAG has head coach energy.

Wow you weren't kidding, found these videos of him Mic'd up at Tennessee and UCF. He is always so focused on the small things and getting the most out of each rep. Big change from Jeff Scott, felt like watching him mic'd up it was more motivational.

as long as he is a risk taker. don't need another conservative coach that waits until we are down 28 to start taking chances and pushing the ball downfield.

theres also a solid chance, since he's russian, that he went by Alexi in his younger years.
