I can see some collectives imposing their own.

This is like a mini bubble. Someone is going to get waaaayyy overpaid, crap out or transfer right away or get into some scandal, and then the rest of CFB is going to be like nope. Collectives will start to have rules (eg clawbacks, caps, contingencies, etc) where needed

Don't follow this stuff much but didn't the high school kid that went to Ohio State for a ton of $$$ get hurt or something?  I may be totally misremembering that.

he transferred to Texas. he signed a 3 year contract with an autograph company for ohio state. I'm sure it was contingent on him being a player there.

We need to release some information because with Fowler Collective it has got to be better than this report about one year ago:

The largest payment by far was $3,500 for an undisclosed deal.

Added 100 subscriptions in the past week. We could be up a couple thousand a month in NIL money just the last week

This is the kind of idea i've been waiting for. Sell some merch that the players would profit from. Then the players still get paid and the fans get something out of it, doesn't just feel like we're throwing our money away at the team.

Something like get Battie some $20 mini helmets he autographs and sells for $50 a pop. They recoup that $20 on each sale and he gets $30 for each sale.

I loved the Hooters NIL idea for offensive linemen.  I think it is only a natural for Yuengling, Ybor City, Hard Rock Casino and other Tampa icons to go big in the collective....

This happens easily.  He and Grier were going to autograph pictures to sell here and we are going to do that.  Grier also talked about some apparel.  It's just a lot harder to do without broader support and of course some on the board that can't make a post without insulting a player, coach or admin complicates things further.

So, I signed up for FowlerAvenue, and also donated to the NIL set up by Brad on this board.  We need to have a subscription capability here too, because I only saw the 1 time donation.

If you intend to do any future NIL stuff with players, maybe instituting a ban on name-calling or negative posts / threads about individual players.  I know the pendulum has swung a little further with NIL deals and some say they are free game, but they are still student athletes and teenagers and shouldn't be personally attacked on here.  Players make mistakes in games and that should be corrected by the coaches.  Calling them out on here doesn't help them at all.  There are ways of posting constructive criticism without specifically calling out individuals.
