They can't just hand stacks of cash to a player. Can the players sell stuff for their own profit with this? Get merch, have players autograph it, sell it marked up, then the players get the difference. Then the players get our $$$ and the fans get something out of it too. Can they not register as a 501 C3? Cost more and takes longer . . . they are set up as a standard business. Sure there is more to it than that, not sure if others are non-profit. They work as a for profit, but without profits LOL. Seems their fees are minimal.

There is a lot of room for fraud with these things. I wouldn't mind if they gave ex players something like 10% of every dollar they raise add another 5% for administration. That would leave 85% to the players.

Someone is donating time/money to take them out fishing on a charter boat. They said it's not always about the money, but experiences too. Now, I guess you charter a bigger boat and take some of the collective members too for a meet and greet and then you can pay the players to fish. I just listened to the whole thing and it helped me understand a little better how it works. Players have to do something to be compensated. →They can't just hand stacks of cash to a player. ← IIRC, SMU is one school that said they were paying every player. Of course maybe each player washed the guys car for him one day... but I doubt it.
