Yeah, I know ... point I was making is that later in the game the Bucs went to the same type of swing pass and it worked for them.

That bucs have the GOAT at QB and elite playmakers. We have a mediocre  throwing college QB with accuracy issues and  good play makers. QB is a spread option QB that can be very successful in that role but we are not using it as much as we should.

And yet they didn't get the 4th and 1 run and multiple times have thrown swing passes in short yardage .....  as have other teams

They also have a defense , good coaching, and a history of winning with their core players.  WE are the complete opposite of the Bucs.

Not using it enough? 14 carries for 121. Sounds like a lot to me.

Perhaps, though I think he has a lot more to work with and his play calling and game management, particularly at the end of games, has been a head scratcher to be kind.  Last night's last offensive play was completely fubar.

I would take him over CJS all day every day.

Talk about your Hobson's choice.

So why pass in 4th and 1 instead of qb run?

I think the issue lies with our talent/depth. Sure some better calls here and there but we are up to three or four DCs in however many years and that doesn't seem to matter.

Very true!
