With Saturday's "re-boot" against a lesser team (than BYU)

  • if given the chance to we defer to the second half (no matter what Trip says)?
  • What's our first play from scrimmage (offensively)

What would *I* do?  Elect to receive every single chance I had so our kick returners have a shot to get momentum early.  (The fact that we did not do this the first game was crazy to me)

What will USF choose if given the choice?  Who knows...they clearly didn't care about a  quick start last week but maybe they compensate this time.

As for the play call I would almost bet money on them to call a run up the middle with Mangham.  They were so committed to that play last week, even when down a bunch, that I think the OC will be salivating at the chance to call downhill running against a FCS team.

  • We will defer again because I remember that one time at Clemson where we thought about not deferring and ...
  • We will run a pass play, play action and fling it down field to Horn or X

The second half kick-off better not have any bearing on this game so knock yourself out ....

Always play to our strengths and shield our weakness. Our strength is offense & our defense is the weakness. Hopefully USF takes the ball If they win the coin flips

Receive the ball, then pooch punt by GB to catch them off guard.

Go for the throat right away. Deep ball to either Horn or Weaver off a playaction.

Don't defer and should be a pass to Horn deep. Need to start fast like BYU did against us.

Would love to see a play action drop back with a 40 yard bomb to Horn or Weaver

Lets see that Sugar Bowl winning arm in action!

Only game plan for losing the toss, don’t get the call in from the sideline on what to do, get hit with a failure to comply penalty that leads to us not getting the kickoff in either half, then get to hear about how we just didn’t see that coming but we are really learning from the new ways we invent to fail each week, have no one ask a follow up question, come to Bullspen and learn to be more patient and then see the next day a new $100 million dollars added to the stadium initiative that will just take a bit longer when these people will definitely need to be here to make sure it gets completed.
