he's definitely owning up to the challenge, and excited to be here at USF. the "unteachable" things seem to be fitting into place with a guy of GB's character. sometimes that's all you can ask for... that, and wins, of course

TBH this is the kind of product the NFL loves to see. if GB can help lead the team to success on the field, he'll get serious looks from the NFL scouts, without a doubt. I think he knows that this is the kind of style that will take him to the next level & he fits it all naturally. 

edit: rationally assuming he performs well on the field, hence the point about leading the team to success

It's always been important at USF to have a big tough personality at QB. As underdog sometimes we need that mentality. GB keep it up and rest of the team, catch up!

I listened to the press conference.  He has natural charisma and positivity.  It's what you want in a leader.  Very impressed!

Blackwell, Grothe, Daniels, and Flowers all developed that emotion and confidence.  None of them had it as a true freshman... but after four years in college, they all had it.  Gerry is new to USF, but he is not new to college football.

I think Grothe and QF had plenty of confidence, but weren't as smooth a Gerry...well at least off the field.
