This one has USF written all over it if there’s any need in the RB room at all - Lakeland, Clemson, UF

A former Clemson running back has reportedly re-entered the NCAA transfer portal. Demarkcus Bowman is back in the portal, according to multiple reports. As a redshirt...

After reading more about him, he sorta falls into Gerry Bohanan territory - a guy you didn’t know you needed, but you can’t pass up if you want to get better NOW. Ranked the top player in Florida coming out of high school, and by all accounts has legit 5-Star talent and 3 years of eligibility.

Actually, he’d have to sit out a year, which makes this even more of a no-brainer for us to sign him. Go get him, Coach Scott!

From UF season preview: Bowman was heavily favored to choose UF out of high school for most of his recruitment before choosing Clemson, but decided to come back home to Gainesville after a year. He only got 14 carries last season, but it’s apparent to everyone who’s watched him that he has special talent.

If he wants to come here then take the risk. Coach Scott isn't in a position to turn around talent. Will have some asterisk with his third school but he had some potential  that could be tapped into.

We are showing 7 RB's on the current roster. I would think that Mangham, Dukes and Joiner will be the trio. Battie? To be seen where he is utilized besides special teams. Mangham is the biggest body. Dukes was supposed to be a prize get from the portal. Joiner could do big things if he is given the ball-he kinda reminds me of D.Johnson. Didn't we get a big D lineman who had been used as a short yardage Frig-type RB somewhere else??

Take all the transfers. Especially if he has to sit this year, anyway.

Given it's his second transfer, he'll have to sit out this year... won't he only have 2 years of eligibility left?
