I think USF already having 8 running backs and one being another Clemson transfer running back, in Michael Dukes played its part. UCF was just a better fit whether they were a p5 team or not.

Tampa is closer to Lakeland than Oviedo  is to Lakeland, kid.

Is there any confirmation we even went after him? Not sure we have roster spots and if we did this seems like it would be the last position we'd go after.

By far. USF is 33 miles from Lakeland, UCF is 70 miles. Whats crazy is UCF isn't really even closer to Disney if you aren't taking tolls.

UCF -> Disney is a 56 minute drive right now.

USF -> Disney is a 65 minute drive right now.

I know this has come up before in discussion and none of it matters anyway as I-4 will be one megalopolis one day but Lakeland is practically an Orlando suburb now.  They’ve always identified more with Orlando, but certainly splitting hairs.  Orlando is projected to be the bigger city in twenty years or thereabouts so that probably won’t change.

I believe I saw the CJS offered on Twitter.

yeah i read somewhere the two cities will eventually connect in the same way ft lauderdale and miami do, the traffic will be such a **** show i'll probably be ready to get out of the area by then

Just checked and no offer. Just people hypothesizing we could be a fit because Jeff Scott recruited him to Clemson.

For the next few years we are going to have to accept the fact that ucf will be able to land higher rated and higher caliber recruits more often than not. We just have to recruit well enough to dominate the trash heap AAC  every single season beginning in 2023. Win win win, create a dynasty within the conference so that we can get the hell out of the conference.
