May as well just let him have the last year and fire home after.

I'd think it'd be nice to give him that last year, hopefully a "clean" one for a change but can't do it like that. He'd be a probable lame duck, unless team makes a huge jump in conf play which is doubtful, which kills recruiting. You either fire him after this one or add a year on  ...... which option obviously contingent upon how season plays out.

Kelly will either have to fire him at the end of the season or give him a 1-3 year extension just to keep recruiting in tact. Not sure anyone would come here for a lame duck coach

Any thoughts on him moving into a staff/fundraising role, similar to the Lelo Prado route?

CSH and CBG were both from the Tom izzo coaching tree.  Obviously that’s not working so maybe we should look somewhere else on the next coaching search.  Perhaps the Coach K tree.  They seem to be having some success.

You nailed it there. For those saying he CBG has a boring play style, so did CSH, they are both horrible to watch. I have defended CBG as well, and I am ready to say I was wrong. I like the guy, but we are just not getting any good results.

Or maybe Coach Calipari.  He has an assistant that we could probably lure away - again.  😄

We tried the cali tree and it didn’t work out too well. Plus cali assistants don’t have a very good track record

It was a joke. Thought that was clear.

Why give him a golden parachute for failing at his job?

Would an "unnamed" but successful woman's bb coach do well for the MBB team?  Asking for a friend.
