Step 1. Hire a losing football coach

Step 2. Make empty promises

Step 3. Start the overall "War on I-4" trophy which you fail to win even once against UCF

Step 4. Get hired by a P5 program in a private institution with tradition and funds like crazy.

Michael Kelly please write a book about failing upwards.

I am still not sure why our previous wins were not grandfathered in, but I do remember the team carrying the trophy around the stadium at least one time after the trophy was created.

It is really SOP in the profession (e.g., see his predecessor).

I think at first it was "just football," and we won it once or twice.  There is a "war on I-4" that covers all interscholastic sports, and I think that's the thing we have NEVER won since it started.

He didn't even start this.

This started when Harlan was here.

I’d hire the FAU AD. He elevated his program, MK is a nice guy but rather worthless by any measure of doing anything of value at his actual institution . His greatest accomplishment is actually elevating the FAU program as well, which is remarkably sad. I just hope he doesn’t pull a White and take coach equally as worthless with him, imagine where we would be having to get paid for complete and utter failures that have done nothing but drag us down and further take us to embarrassing depths leave so that we can have money to pay people at the very least less to maybe not rest on the laurels that they were once on AAC payrolls. The horror, oh please not the briar patch please anything but that. Imagine losing and failing but not getting to hear about how one time years ago they were a small insignificant not replaced part of a team that once won or they helped organize the parties for teams that won when they faced off against the each other. Let me know how I can help them pack or no I can send glowing references to, they suck it will be nice when they are gone and everyone can stop pretending.

If Miami hires Kelly and he brings Scott with him, the UM faithful will be looking to fit both of them with a Colombian necktie.  Let’s just say the CJS progrum is not a good cultural fit down in Miami-Dade.

This will single-handedly cause me to find faith

I think Michael Kelly should go to Miami and hire Kerwin Bell.

After an 0-6 start at Western Carolina, Kerwin Bell has the Catamounts on a three-game winning streak. The future is looking pretty good, too.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
