The thread is so old, expansion already did happen during its lifetime ...

Yeah you are right. That must have been in the first 50

I think the hope is that this thread goes long enough to cover our entry into the BE, B12, ACC, and finally SEC.

And the inevitable disintegration of each Conference once we join.

What would a Big 12 with Cincinnati, Houston, USF and UCF look like? I'd prefer a north/south split as it would create some competitive balance and look a liitle more like what the Big 12 used to look like.

Big 12 North

Oklahoma

Oklahoma State

Kansas

Kansas State

Iowa State

West Virginia

Cincinnati

Big 12 South

Texas

Baylor

Texas Tech

TCU

Houston

USF

UCF

Cant split Texas and Oklahoma much like Ohio State Michigan

You can split them if you set it up like the SEC where you have a permanent cross divisional rival.  In fact, they might want to split so they could me in the Championship game.

I would think us and UCF would be in different divisions to ensure more teams a game in FL on a yearly basis.

Agree, this makes Oklahoma and Texas fans happy if they have a chance of playing twice..  Having the entire state of Texas schools and Florida schools makes sense.

The ACC has Miami and Florida in different divisions (Coastal and Atlantic, respectively)
