Why do winners keep on winning? Two recent studies examine the...

Idk I think the part about how if you rig the results so that someone that typically shouldn’t win does that they are still far more likely to to win the next time is pretty interesting stuff

That’s true but how they manage to do that maybe more complicated than who has the most natural ability, did you read it?

Yes .... Mice, fish, really? Unless I totally missed something, that didn't really address the dynamics of team sports at all. It was interesting on an individual basis but has basically nothing to do with our situation. So, like the blanket penalties aren't that important to winning and losing thing, not really seeing the relevance here.

Many of you think after going 1-8 think we should be beating the better teams in our conference after a coaching change and covid.

Why do you think this and what is your expectation for this year? 7 wins?

So let’s revisit this original post. Tulsa is NOT one of the better teams in our conference. Is it realistic to expect a win over them , when USF has had two weeks to prepare for the game ?

If there really is progress and improvement with this program, we will see it next Saturday.

I think every study shows that losing begets losing and winning begets winning. If CJS is going to build anything he probably should start winning because every time he loses it makes him more likely to continue losing.

Well, no ****, Sherlock. I think that's something we can all agree upon ..... but that article is still pretty meaningless when talking about team sports and all the variables that come with it. After sitting through 0-26, I guess I've seen the process that finally ends with some success so I'm not as suicidal as some.

I think some over value the progress they think they see when you are losing but if you trust the science losing only helps you continue to lose

Can't build a winning culture , if you can't win. At least we did add another L in the losing  bank culture CJS has created.

Expectations.

As we saw late Saturday evening, down in College Station, Texas - yes ANY team is beatable. I just don't see USF beating Houston, Cinci or UCF.    Any other game is a roll of the dice...
