CJS coaches like a rookie when the game is close...he'd need JPP ,Q Flowers, and Mike Jenkins to win all his conf games...2-5 is his conf ceiling this year...he needs to grow into a better coach to win any conf...it might be the Irish whisky talking but he **** the bed tonight...we were good enough to win...if best is the standard then no one should be happy tonight

This is true. Scott has a ways to go to be even an average coach. I wouldn’t mind it if he did some housecleaning on his coaching  staff this off-season, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I won’t be heartbroken if Glenn Spencer is gone come November 27th

Sorry dude I am not drinking your sad elixir. This team is close, really close in turning the corner, we will be wining some games this year and plenty of games next year.

I had the same feeling about Taggart's 2015 team. Felt like we were getting close even before that Syracuse game. Getting a similar feeling here. Hopefully this defense looks better in conference play...

I'm objective not sad and my elixer is tasting good right now. I'd love to be proven wrong next week. I'll be at SMU and expect that our DBs will be tested but the real test is on our young coach. Next game is winnable.

You guys crapping on Spencer makes no sense. We don't have any talent on that side of the ball.

Dline, LBs and DBs are shells of what we even had a few years ago.

Well, 3 of the 4 best teams we'll play are behind us.  Those 3 will all be ranked in the top 20-21 tomorrow.  We really may have a shot at 6-6.

GO BULLS!

With the offense, we have a chance at 6 wins, however with this D, I don’t see more than 3 wins left.

I agree however whose job is it to bring  in D line and lb’s?  They have had 1.5 recruiting cycles. if we don’t have the players next year then it is all on the coaches.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
