What is the #1 (and only one) priority move so we're prepared for whatever comes next with athletics?

Possibilities...

  • Announce and fast track build of OCS
  • Fast track build of IPF and other on-campus athletic facilities
  • Hire a President that will continue the academic and research ascent AND place equal and great emphasis on growing athletics as the face and front door of the University's brand
  • Replace VPA Kelly with a VP or AD that is a known and proven entity for raising revenues, increasing community support and enhancing the brand on a national level
  • Screw it, put all possible resources behind winning football games NOW and worry about everything else later
  • Others?

GO BULLS!

Winning an fbs game might be nice. Except we’re definitely gonna still have to wait a couple more weeks for that.

Blaming the consumers and asking for money

Pinky And The Brain Tonight GIF by HULU

Same thing we do every night try to get more money to subsidize our failure while chastening the consumers for having any expectations

I think we should emphasize the academic performance of our professional student-athletes.

Seriously?

Then step one is deciding if we still wish to compete at the highest level, or not.

This.  If the answer is not a resounding yes form all parties involved, BOT, President, administration, alumni, donors, students, the community, athletic leadership etc. then a drop down to FCS should be an option.  Continuing to half a$$ it is not an option.

The serious answer if this were any other company I walked into would be to first tell everyone I am just here to see what improvements we can tweak in order to be successful but not much is going to change, the second part would be looking at the parts of the business I believe could be sold off for profit and beginning the liquidation process.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
