Would it help him to get back to some serious training and do a pro day?

Are you implying that on field results dont factor into a TE's draft stock? You're the one who's dreaming 😂 obviously his combine results sucked but now his lack of production last year with poor metrics make him nearly undraftable

I said nothing like that. What I did say was that Mitch was going to be a 3rd day pick whether he caught 28 passes this year or 48 passes this year.

I'm fairly certain he doesnt get drafted now. Call me surprised if he does

I'm in the camp that thinks production falls below measurables. Production is a factor, but 40 times and such go a lot further. A lot more guys have been drafted and rafted high based on the combine than have just for putting up numbers. Hell, guys have been drafted that didn't even play college football and guys like QF put up numbers.

Still bitter about the fumble against UCF. Not sure that will ever get out of my system.

That could not have felt good...couple of drops too. Not a good start.

the ball comes faster than when not thrown by a usf qb

The scouts probably told him the same thing last year is why he came back to get better .The problem is under CCS and KB he got worse.

however he did seem to have heart and passion

This... as much as I want to forget, I keep going back to the Q magic that we were seeing that day and thinking Q would have gotten us the win if Mitch held on to that ball. I wish him well, but, its all I think of when I hear his name.

I don't begrudge him at all. That drop helped rid us of CCS. I am very thankful under those circumstances.

Matt Floyd was full of heart and passion, too.
