I think the hit in the face threw him off period. That ball easily looked to be at least 25 mph. So of course he had mad drops after.. I think it affected his 40 time as well. I agree with your last statement in that this incident actually gave him some publicity and more people will look up his tape. He should be fine but definitely needs a better 2nd day.

He was 15/17 in 40 time, 14/15 in vertical, and 13/15 in broad jump among TEs at the combine. He would have been much better served packing it in after the gauntlet.

Are you implying that on field results dont factor into a TE's draft stock? You're the one who's dreaming obviously his combine results sucked but now his lack of production last year with poor metrics make him nearly undraftable
