I'm not sure if he is one of the kids I'm thinking of from opening night, but a couple had really long swings. If they catch up with one they may have some power but I see a lot of Ks in their future.

Loaded the bases in the first, but nothing. Man on 2nd and nobody out in the second. Nothing. Need some guys to start coming up with clutch hits. Pitching staff is getting it done. They deserve some help.

Put up 4 in the 5th on 1 hit.  Gonzales with 2 out single.  Lane also ripped one to third that was booted

Team batting average for the weekend = .170 and only TWO extra base hits (2 doubles). It’s gonna be a problem all year. As bad as the hitting was, the pitching was stellar: .190 batting average against, 47 strikeouts, 6 walks.
