Again, not defending Bell. But you can manipulate and skewed data anyway you want to paint a picture. We could say that the decline started under Sterling Gilbert. We could also say that Gilbert's numbers were padded because he was playing with Taggart's players.  What are Gilbert's numbers like with his own players and recruits. I bet not that great...

Comparing the two is like asking someone if they would rather eat a dog turd or a cat turd. Either way it's going to be unpleasant.

😂😂😂...so f’n true...

It’s comparing the two most directly comparable years, what was lost from one to another that merited doing 60 something percent worse??

If you want to play that game then let's compare what both coaches inherited when they came to USF.

Gilbert inherited Q and company and Bell was brought in to try and fix a struggling offense.

Are we comparing Gilbert to Bell or CWT? I’m confused but still the drop by spots isn’t even close.

Well, his offense at McNeese last year improved by about 25% over the previous.

I'm sure it did at the FCS level.

I think all of us who follow USF will agree completely that Gilbert’s offense was the most unimaginative we’ve ever had. We ran about seven different plays every Saturday and I could call them before we ran them. We won 10 games and we’re disappointed because we had a very talented team. Sorry for your luck, Syracuse.

He had a good year at USF because:

Quinton Flowers

D’Ernest Johnson

Darius Tice

Marquez Valdez Scantling

Mitchell Wilcox

#8 - OCHO THE MAN

Unfair comment as he had a brand new team filled with FCS level players.

Unfair comment as people will make up anything they want to prove their original statement. You know, like that he doesn’t have a playbook.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
